the angel at the tomb, 1870 another of my favorite (and most influential) photographers, Julia Margaret Cameron.  as a teenager, i saved and saved my allowance until i finally had enough to purchase a large ‘coffee table’ book of her photographs.  the lighting (natural!) is haunting and makes me swoon.  i devoted an entire semester in college to reproducing her style of photography and still to this day feel my heart flutter whenever i happen upon one of her pictures.
